Perceptions Magazine

Problem:

Each year Perception Magazine publishes art submissions from all over the world who are deemed perfect for their audience. For 12 years they have seen a slow downfall in submissions and interest.

Solution:

Noticing their pattern in the past of lack of outreach, branding awareness, and a lack of engaging visuals, we agreed to use this year to be loud. Through a full re-design of the cover and interior, the purpose of this approach was to be externally eye-catching and internally letting the art speak for itself.

Through promotional pieces, we targeted the demographic of DIY artsy college individuals. They sold out on the reading, got a larger diversity in submissions, and sold 4x more books than the previous year, all in two months of work.
